Dinner: Tortellini Alfredo with chicken, cheese sticks, 2 slices of pizza, coke, chocolate milk.
So much for yesterday's rest day. Today it was miserable for me, I was tired and in pain, but the worst part was that I was adding suffering to the pain. Once I surrendered, I realized that I did have some strength left on my legs and I was able to go a little faster so I wouldn't have to be picked up by the SAG van for being too far back. For the first 60 miles I was on a pace line, but I had to quit it once we reached the Mississipi River, it's not fair to the other guys if I can't keep up. It aways surprises me how big the river is.
I had an hour long massage just for the legs and now it's time to ice my knees.

| Good morning. |
![]() |
| More water, I wish you could zoom in to those funny little trees coming out of the water. |
![]() |
| Onwards to another state. |
![]() |
| The River, it's really majestic. |
![]() |
| Nice wide bridge over the rive. |
![]() |
| Later on, I encountered some serious off road vehicles, I was about to go under, but you never know what sharp machinery they are carrying. |
![]() |
| Green and wet. I wanted a dip, but time and snakes persuaded me otherwise. |
![]() |
| Oops, Google Maps did not show this. We carried our bikes around the fence, the SAG cars had a 25 mile detour. |
![]() |
| Besides the abandoned ones, we saw lots of very well manicured houses on this side of the river. |
![]() |
| And then some houses are delivered. Best shot I could make considering that it's a half of a double wide coming my way. |

| Our last SAG stop was at this sad little town, yes, that about all of the town. |
