Very long day that started fast but got slower after the first 20 miles because of head winds coupled with insanely bad roads, the worst so far. The road improved, but the wind took longer to change. At some point we were being chased by a nasty storm front, that coupled with the news from the tornadoes, made us very uneasy; the constant lighting did not help matters. Before lunch we had to take shelter in one of the trailers and let the worst of the storm pass, it was moving fast so we didn't have to wait long. I rode solo for most of the way and finished second after a 26 year old that always finishes first, so I'm feeling pretty good about myself. I was in the zone for a long time, it's such a nice feeling.

Short post, time to sleep.

Early morning shadow on the fields.

Ominous looking but beautiful clouds

Couldn't get enough of it.

Until it got darker.

Just a couple of good looking fellas.

More majestic clouds. It's the theme of the day.

Scary storm fron moving in on an old house...and us.

Storm front dumping it's cargo.

Getting closer...

After the storm I got very close to these. They were spinning with the head wind that was slowing us down.

  1. Gorgeous clouds Nico. Can you pick a state that isn't having tornadoes or hurricanes or any other natural disaster tomorrow. Please. xx

  2. You're going to end up like Almira Gulch and get swept up into the funnel.
    Be careful out there.
I want that sad old broken house, please. Perfect spot for me to finish up talking to myself and drinking my the rest of my meals.
